INDEPENDENCE GAMES 2010, APRIL 9-11
The Independence Games is a high quality competitive sports event for young people with physical and intellectual disabilities. The Games offers young athletes the opportunity to challenge themselves and compete with their peers in a variety athletics, swimming, triathlon and boccia events.
Independence Games events are held annually in both the North and South Island. In 2010 Christchurch will host the South Island event and Hawke’s Bay will host the North Island event. Both events will take place from the 9th -11th of April.
You can use this website to find out more about the South Island Independence Games, but you’ll need to visit the website for the North Island Independence Games for information and registration for the North Island event.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to compete at the South Island Independence Games all competitors must be:
- 1. aged between 8-17yrs as at March 1st 2010h2
(ie. Your birthday must fall between 01/03/1993 - 01/03/2002)
- 2. a CCS Disability Action client
