Accommodation
School hostels are used to accommodate teams - providing an affordable and quality option for athletes and their volunteer supporters.
For the Games, athletes and their volunteer supporters from each team can choose between staying together at school hostel accommodation or at any of Christchurch's many accommodation providers.
Please note: School hostel accommodation booked via the Games Organisers is held for athletes and their volunteer supporters only. As school hostel bed numbers are limited, this ensures that appropriate and cost effective accommodation is made available to all athletes and their volunteer supporters. Talk to your Regional Team Manager for more details on accommodation options for athlete family members and other supporters.

Location details for each hostel are available below.
During the Games, the hostels provide a relaxed and friendly team atmosphere after the day's competition. There's plenty of time for athletes and volunteer supporters from each team to catch-up or make new friends.
Each hostel provides a variety of common areas and in-house activities (eg: table tennis, pool, SKY TV etc) to keep athletes entertained when they're not competing. Hostels also provide basic group share catering facilities, although teams generally eat together in their hostel's dinning hall for meals when not at one of the Games' venues.
