                Once again the Garden City will play host to Games' athletes and their supporters. Christchurch isn't hard to find - it's the big town on State Highway 1 between Ashburton and Kaikoura!

                QEII Park Recreation and Sport Centre

                171 Travis Road, New Brighton, Christchurch

                Christchurch's premiere sporting facility and home to the NZ Academy of Sport (SI), QEII will be the Saturday venue for the Games.  QEII has plenty of free parking and lots of covered seating for spectators.  Games sports and activities at QEII include:
                • Opening ceremony
                • Track and field
                • Adapted track and field events
                • Boccia (indoor stadium)

                Jellie Park Recreation and Sport Centre

                295 Ilam Road, Burnside, Christchurch

                Jellie Park is Christchurch's only indoor and outdoor swimming complex and where the Games swimming and team triathlon events take place.  2011 will be the first time the Games has visited Jellie Park and we can't wait.  Its facilities are fantastic - a 50m outdoor pool, two 25m indoor pools and a heated training pool!  Games sports and activities at Jellie Park include:
                • Swimming
                • Adapted swimming events
                • Team triathlon
                • Trophy and medal presentations
                • Farewell BBQ
