Volunteer
Games volunteers make the event happen - literally.
Volunteering can be just as memorable and life changing for volunteers as competing at the Games is for athletes. If you like working with young people and you'd love to be involved in making the Games an unforgettable sporting experience for the athletes, then we'd love to hear from you.
The success of the Games is due in large part to the passionate and committed team of volunteers from around the South Island who manage and travel with the teams, train the athletes, act as volunteer supporters/carers for athletes and help deliver the event.
Our volunteer team includes (amongst others) fabulous staff from our sponsor organisations and a large number of highly experienced athletics and swimming officials.
Volunteers are required for all areas of the Games:

- Team management and coordination
- Team fundraising and sponsorship
- Coaching and training support
- Sports event delivery
- General event delivery
